"Cancer screening"

About: Royal Sussex County Hospital

Anything else?

In October last year I sent in my colon cancer test kit. I had a colonoscopy and a polyp removed that was cancerous. Last week I was told that I will have to wait 18 weeks for surgery, approximately 8 months from screening. My sister had a polyp removed in this hospital and a longer wait for surgery which then required chemotherapy. Are the waiting times for cancer surgery prioritised?
