Anything else?
I have been suffering serious chest and stomach pains for 12 months. Unfortunately it flairs up into agonising pain every so often and can last from six hours upto five days. The only thing that's stops the pain is morphine. Three previous visits have been fantastic, the staff have been unbelievable, to a point where I sent in a three page thank you letter to the A&E dept.
Unfortunately I had to go to A&E again on a saturday morning during jan 13 and had the complete misfortune to bump into a particular Doctor. After he had asked me my problem, The first thing that he said to me after being in agony for two - three days was 'why are you here on a Saturday afternoon doing us absolutely no favours whatsoever'.
That was disgusting enough but then he told me I wasn't ill enough to be given morphine and wasn't ill enough to be admitted.
I stood up, my girl friend in tears at his response, and made my way to the front desk to complain after telling this doctor that his attitude was disgusting. He came over and told the desk staff to issue me with a fine as I had sworn at him ! A complete and utter bare faced lie and one which I would swear on my kids life and under oath was a bare faced lie !
I returned home in agony, distressed and very upset that I had to now go through this in front of my two children. I managed to get into my doctors on the Monday by which time I had lost half a stone and had nine hours sleep in five nights due to horrendous agony !
Utterly disgusted, upset and disappointed that people like this can get away with this type of behaviour towards people they are paid to treat. The staff on my three previous visits have been beyond fantastic and deserve more than being tarred wiggle same brush as people like this. I have complained, but a whole week later I still haven't heard a thing.
"Unfortunately disgusted !"
