Anything else?
I went in for a Mastectomy and was in overnight following an operation. When I was discharged I noticed the wound was not stitched up properly. Subsequently I developed an infection so I returned to the hospital. The doctor was unable to drain the fluid from the infected area so he gave me antibiotics and sent me home. The infection got worse so I returned to the casualty unit and was re-admitted for the wound to be re-opened and cleaned. My care on the ward following that surgery was of a very poor standard and the ward was dirty.
When I was discharged on that ocassion the wound was still not properly stitched up and I have ongoing problems still.
I have made a further appointment to see the surgeon at Dorset County hospital on the advice of another hospital.
