"Good care but unacceptably long waits at City hospital"

I am happy with the medical and nursing care I received at the Nottingham City hospital's Southwell ward.However, I feel strongly that it was wrong to have to wait so long in such an inadequate waiting area on the Emergency Admissions Unit. I was lucky to have a chair in the waiting room - others were waiting stood in the corridor. When a doctor was eventually available, there were no rooms available for a consultation and, by this time, I was feeling very ill and weak.

I also feel it was unacceptable to have spent so long on the emergency ward. There was little privacy and I was on a mixed ward, and because patients were admitted at all hours, there was little chance of sleep.
