The ward nursing staff at the Queen's Medical Centre are obviously taking on more responsibility for medical tasks and, to their credit, are using these new skills with great efficiency. However, I feel these skills have been earned at the expense of their actual nursing duties, i.e. providing the best standard of care for their patients at all times. I felt that compassion was in short supply, as there was little time given to caring for the patients.
