"In patient"

About: Chelsea & Westminster Hospital

Anything else?

The surgeon and his staff were fantastic dealing with and repairing my ruptured knee ligament. No complaints at all . I'm still recovering from the operation 7 weeks after

Starting with entering a+ e there was a mouse running about which was humorous till he was caught and killed

No food or drink all day whan I went to the ward was offered a sandwich and water

The staff on the ward were totally useless uncaring and not interested in doing any work from what I could see

I was lucky enough to have the doctor do my operation which was v successful as far as I'm aware

The after care on return was a disgrace staff didn't seem to know what they were doing

Or interested in your well being

I asked for a bottle eventually three were dumped on my table by the end of the day I'd filled them all not one nurse came to empty them when my dinner arrived the bottles were just pushed to the side and she put the dinner next to them obviously I couldn't eat itin those circumstance

I was going crazy with morphine which I stopped taking and no further pain killers

Overnight I heard nurses arguing about some insulin which was wrongly given to a patient

Was at this point concerned for my own well being and when doctors arrived next day I said I was going home and asked them to discharge me which they did and within 5 minutes I was asked to collect my stuff and leave

Admitted 10th dec out on 13th dec

Dear Mr Beavon,

I hope you are recovering well.

I am sorry to read that your experience at Chelsea and Westminster was unsatisfactory. There are some issues that would need addressing individually and I would be grateful for you to contact the PALSS office should you wish for these to be investigated.

I can be contacted through the PALS office: pals@chelwest.nhs.uk or tel: 020 3315 6727

Many thanks for your feedback
