"Blood Transfusion"

About: Leighton Hospital

Anything else?

At the beginning of January I took my eighty-nine year old mother to Leighton Hospital for a blood transfusion. I was very impressed with the care she received. She was very nervous and extremely apprehensive. The staff were marvellous on Ward 22, they constantly reassured her and told her exactly what they were doing and why.

The toilets and ward were spotlessly clean.

We constantly read in the papers about poor care of the elderly in hospital so I felt the need to report my positive experience.

Thank you very much for your comments about the care that your mother received recently. I have shared your comments with the staff on Ward 22 who were really pleased to receive such positive feedback. Ali Barnes, Matron. Emergency Care.
