"dislocated fractured ankle"

About: Basildon University Hospital

Anything else?

Hi,

Maybe a delayed response considering I was admitted to your hospital on the 4th November 2012 and discharged on the 8th November, but a note I have felt compelled to write.

I was admitted on the fore mentioned dates with a dislocated & fractured ankle in extreme pain and discomfort. I was dealt with immediately, operated on the day after and then nursed until my departure, made all the more difficult for myself as not a local resident to Essex. Taking this aside I wish to express my absolute gratitude to every single member of your staff I encountered during my treatment and stay from the porters, surgeon tea lady and probably most the nurses that kept my spirits high, who cared for me and in all honesty under the circumstance actually made my stay enjoyable due to their sense of humour.

Not too experienced at hospital stays but you guys and gils really did a top job and cant thank you enough!!!

Im getting back on my feet now and its being a long process, but credit to you all and the NHS,

Thank you Steven Lee Taylor

We have noticed that a number of comments posted on the NHS Choices some time ago did not receive a posted response from the Trust, for which we offer our sincere apologies.

We would like to assure you that at the time your comments were posted they were shared with the relevant departments.

Feedback from patients and/or their relatives/carers is always welcomed (negative or positive) whether it is showing appreciation for the care and treatment received or expressing concerns or offering suggestions to improve practices at the hospital.
