I am now 35+5 and seriously considering changing hospitals.
I have been in twice last week, once for babys raised heart beat which calmed down, another time for pains in right side. I was in there for 4 hours last Sunday, they took a urine sample which showed protein, monitored baby for 20 mins then did a smear test to check for infections which took about 15-20mins, the rest of the time I was just left there waiting!
Pains since haven't gone and I have no infection but they haven't looked into it any further. At 28 weeks they found calcium deposits on the placenta, and at my scan yesterday, plus the baby hasn't grown in the last two weeks (my graph actually says its gotten smaller! ) Yet they haven't looked into that anymore.
Then we move onto my consultant, midwife took my blood pressure and said it was high, the consultant then contradicted her and said it wasn't, THEN I got called in again by the midwife who took it again and said she was going to send out a community midwife to me to check again.
Yet I had no phone call off the midwife yesterday and no phone call today. I phoned up at 3pm today and asked about it and she said she would phone my midwife and ask her to phone me, yet still no phone call.
Basically these last few weeks I've been left feeling confused, paranoid and completely alone. I was left to search the internet to find out about calcium deposits as they didn't explain properly what it was, and I will be making sure that I get extra monitoring now or I'll go elsewhere and find a hospital who actually cares about my baby's safety.
