I went to Stepping Hill hospital following a self harm incident.
The triage nurse was very nice. I then saw a nurse practitioner who said I didnt need stitches just steristrips as my arm was already scarred and they were very busy.
The wound was very deep but they just put a few steristrips on it and sent me away.
The day after I removed the bandage to see if the wound was closed together and it was not, it's wide open. So I feel that just because it was self harm, they didn't look after it properly at all.
I am now going to be left with a huge wide scar because a&e were too busy to treat it. I'm fuming about it and writing complaints wherever I can.
