"Contraceptive Services"

Anything else?

I have been trying to get an appointment to have my contraceptive implant taken out for the past two weeks. Apparently, despite it being over three months overdue to come out, and despite having already had a consultation in Bury, I need to come in to the walk in to have another consultation. I then have to wait three weeks with no contraceptives except the ones I cannot use, simply to have the implant removed. A very simple procedure, which should not require this much of my time. And an urgent one, since it has been in my arm for far too long.

I also cannot go to the walk in on a Monday, which is the only time I have to do so, as it is for under 25s only.

This is absolutely ridiculous. All I am asking for is one appointment, a doctor looks at my arm, does whatever tests he needs to do, and takes the thing out. How difficult is that, really? I do not understand why it has to be made so complicated. It's pathetic.

As a consequence I have not had to obtain private health care, where at least I can get seen when I need to be seen.
