I have been an outpatient at the Royal Oldham for over 5 years and i have never been overly impressed with the service, however over the last 6 months it has become a complete shambles.

Appointment are frequently cancelled or lost. To speak to someone to rearrange is nigh on impossible. The phone just rings and rings.

In my case the doctors dont seem to have any direction. If i ask for advice i get blank looks as if i am questioning their judgement. The consultant is supposed to oversee but i see little sign of this as i never get an appointment with him.

People are all to quick to blame goverment cutbacks, but all i see is admin staff who really dont care. The nursing staff are fantastic, but you can see they are sick of apologising for delays The waiting room at the clinic has an overwhelming atmosphere of despair.

I believe the clinic is due to move soon, but i only know this after listening to people in the waiting room. No information is available so i can only assume the NHS doesn't really care how this will effect patients.

If a private business treated its customers the same way they would go bust overnight.
