"Ward 23, Emergency Gynaecology"

About: University Hospital (Coventry)

Anything else?

I was cared for by the nurses, doctors and theatre staff following my miscarriage. All the staff were excellent and sensitive to our needs at this sad time. I am particularly greatful to the midwife/nurse who did the scan that diagnosed my miscarriage, she was caring and thoughtful and gave us the time we needed to adjust to our sudden change in circumstances, even offering us a room to talk in on what must have been a very busy day for her. I was admittted to Ward 23 for an ERPC the following monday 7th January, again the nurses were kind, thoughful and offered discreet care. My only disappoinment is that I was kept over-starved for my procedure, eventually having it in the afternoon, following an emergency case. As I was on the emergency theatre list, I have no objections to waiting for this case. However perhaps simple procedures such as mine may be better on an elective list to reduce the chance of cancellation, which was a big worry for me at such an emotional time. Their aftercare over the phone is excellent. Other than that a big thankyou!
