"Birthing centre st helier"

About: St Helier Hospital

Anything else?

I feel I must write and thank all the wonderful staff on the labour ward and birthing centre at st helier hospital, especially 4 members of the staff. My daughter was looked after extremely well and I cannot thank them all enough for the expert care she was given, and the safe arrival of our grandson born on 5 th December, they could not have had better care if we had paid privately, and the aftercare was second to none.

It shocks and saddens me to think that this unit might be closed, what a terrible shame it would be and it cannot happen, it is such an essential part of our community.

Thank you for letting us have feedback about the experience your daughter had at St Helier Hospital's maternity unit.

May I start by congratulating you on the birth of your grandson. I hope mother and baby are both well.

As you can imagine, I am pleased to hear that our care was to the standard I would expect. I know the team will be delighted with your kind feedback.

We share your concerns about the future of the maternity unit and, as such, our doctors, midwives and other staff are working closely with those leading the review to ensure the future needs of parents-to-be are taken into consideration as the Better Services Better Value review moves forward.

Thank you again for your feedback.

Pippa Hart

Director of Nursing
