About: Hillingdon Hospital

Anything else?

Hate a clue how to treat sickle cell patients.end up in tears every time and my partner waiting in agony! Sometimes rude and don't listen to the patients request for proper pain relief. More education needs to be made in all hospitals

We are very disappointed to read about your recent experience in our A&E department and would like to apologise that your partner did not feel that our staff responded appropriately to requests for pain relief. We take all feedback seriously and remain committed to improving patient experience, especially with regards to responding promptly to patients pain.

Following review of your feedback we have distributed guidance on the management of people with sickle cell disease to all doctors and nurses within the department. We are also developing a guidance folder that will inform staff of the gold standard management of patients with specific conditions such as sickle cell disease.
