Anything else?
i would like to say that after having my operation on my ear recently i was most gratefull for the nurses in recovery they did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and made sure that i was given water to me when i asked for it and also gave me some lunch. however i can not say the same for the rest of my experiance. i was ready to be put onto a ward at 10:25 am after having my operation but ward 7 was not ready for any body to be taken there because they had to do a big clean up after using the ward for medical not surgical patience and i had to sit on the same bed in recovery for 9 hours along side 2 other ladies waiting for the same ward if it wasnt for two nurses getting me a snack box then i still wouldnt have eaten because i wasn't on the ward to recieve any meals however i cannot fault them, they did everything for me aswell as all the other staff in recovery. at about 7:30pm eventually a nurse came from the day ward and decided that i was ok for him to discharge me from his ward i wish he had told me this when he had seen me about 5 hours earlier whilst picking up another one of his patience. i think that they need to seriously think about making the system much better as i was fit and healthy to go to a ward but instead i was in a well needed recovery bay for somebody else who had come out of there operation. in future if i need my other ear operating on i may consider going to a different hospital if this issue is not resolved. and lastly i would like to thank the nurse and her team in recovery at LRI .
