"Unhappy with how my complaint was handled"

About: Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust / Adult mental health

(as the patient),

I feel my complaint was not dealt with properly. The way it was dealt with contravened this trust's own policy, the NHS constitution and advice from the health ombudsman.

My complaint was about the excessive delay in getting an appointment, because both my previous therapists, the access team, etc had made administrative blunders.

I needed a prompt appointment because of the trauma (physical and psychological) that came from an accident I had whilst abroad. I suffered a broken forearm, head injuries, ripped shoulder muscles and a broken neck. I had previously been a patient a few months earlier in a therapy group.

I found a complete lack of understanding and empathy from the trust.

It says a great deal when KMPT cannot answer the above. Is KMPT a heartless NHS Trust? In my opinion, the answer to this is yes, definitely and it starts at the top and trickles down in certain areas.
