"Muddled advanced notification of appointments"

About: St George's Hospital (Tooting) / Neurology

(as the patient),

I received a letter advising me that my outpatients appointment had been moved from January to April. I then got the automated phone alert reminding me to turn up in January.

I had to phone in to check which was correct. For some reason the system of changing the appointment had not been picked up by the automated system, meaning I wasted my time and of the Appointments section to get clarification.

Very frustrating.
