"Shabby!"

What could be improved

My mother, aged 85, had a chest x ray on October 9th - she received a letter on December 24th stating that her chest x ray report " has now come to hand" !!!! and informing her that her heart was enlarged with fluid around it - the letter then described changes to her medication typed in bold.

I am very unhappy that it took nearly 11 weeks for this important information to be relayed to us and consider the service that was received as unacceptable - I want better than this for my mother !
