I've only just found this site or I would have posted my story sooner. I was taken to Northern General A&E at the end of September 2007 suffering chest pains. I was transferred to Medical Assessment 2 and told I needed emergency surgery to repair an aortic dissection. After the surgery I spent 3 days on CICU, then 5 days on Chesterman 4 and later another 4 days on Firth 7. The care I received from every single member of staff was superb and I can never thank them enough.
