I had been trying to get help for the pain in my knees for some time but I was told I was too young and the pain wasn't bad enough. I was referred by my GP to see Laura Finucane at the Oxted Therapies Unit in December 2011. She was very helpful and said I needed to see the surgeon. She managed to fit me in to see Mr Maurice in January 2012.

I was operated on and received a partial knee replacement in February 2012 and again in July 2012 for the other knee.

I have made a good recovery and am writing to thank firstly Laura Finucane for recognising how bad I was and secondly Mr Maurice and his team for operating so quickly and so well.

Every day I am grateful for the operations, I am not pain free but I can live my life and am back at work.

I just wanted to write and say thank you
