What I liked

I had an elective c-section at St Michaels and my baby was transferred to Southmead after complications. I can not rate the staff in the NICU unit highly enough. From the doctor to the midwifes and night staff - they were outstanding and so kind and supportive. The staff in the intensive care unit that looked after my baby boy were extremely compassionate and supportive and provided the best care. I can not thank the staff enough for their support and excellent service.

Dear Anonymous – thank you for taking the time and trouble to post your constructive comments about the care your baby received from the NICU staff at Southmead.

I was at a Patient Engagement Group meeting yesterday and listened to a presentation from one of the Matrons in Maternity about recent CGC survey results for all of the maternity services provided by North Bristol Trust. The dedication and enthusiasm of the staff was clearly evident supporting your very positive experience.

I hope that your baby is now fully recovered and you are able to enjoy this special time with your family.

I will pass on your welcome comments to the staff in maternity services and NICU.
