About: Ealing Hospital

What could be improved

The staff were rude and showed no compassion to myself or baby who was coughing violently and vomiting as they were asking me to fill out forms and that there was a two hour wait because mine was not the only child waiting. My son is under one year old, surely he should have been prioritised. The waiting area was grim- a building site with exposed wires in the ceiling, dim lighting and barely any where to sit. The two words that cam to mind were third world. I promptly left after only a few minutes and went to West Middlesex instead where it felt like a different world- polite, efficient staff who at least gave us a sick bowl and we were seen within minutes of sitting down.

Anything else?

How can two A&E departments be so different and why is Ealing hospital failing where other hospitals manage to achieve? The whole hospital, if it survives the threat of closure needs total refurbishment and to employ staff who have basic people skills.
