"Sunderland Eye Infirmary is the No 1 Hospital for..."

About: Sunderland Eye Infirmary

What I liked

Everything. i have been visiting this hospital for a few years now after previously attending RVI in Newcastle. i couldn't believe the difference between the two hospitals.on the first visit i had hardly had anytime to wait before being seen by the consultant. he told me in simple terms that i needed an iridotomy and gave me a leaflet to read but also told me to look on the internet for further information but not to take too much notice of the "gory" bits. i had my op and went to regular check up appointments and was treated very well by nurses etc. a year ago i was diagnosed with depression and aftrer taking the tablets for a few weeks i started getting bad headaches.the outcome was i had to go to see my consultant who said that my eye pressure had shot up and i now needed eyedrops.all my check up appointments only last about 15 mins from entering to leaving the hospital. just today i had to ring A&E for advice and was dealt with in a polite courteous manner.I think some other hospitals should take a good look at how this excellent hospital operates and addapt.

What could be improved

the only thing i could think of was a few more parking spaces and a bit of an update of the hospitals dated look but that is just nit picking as the hospital has an excellent, efficient service with friendly staff who have time and patience.
