What I liked
How organised and efficient the team was.
What could be improved
The ambulance could have turned up earlier - a casualty of a RTA with suspected spinal and internal injuries should not be left for an hour and a half by the side of the road with no pain relief. It was some of the worst time in my life. It was 2 hours before I was in the ambulance, and 2 and a half before reaching casualty.
Anything else?
I was rushed into the hospital after a car accident (very upset by the fact I had been waiting for an ambulance for an hour and a half! This was not the fault of the hospital though but very upset) and was taken into the resus area. They very quickly got me on pain killers and were looking after me as much as they could. I really appreciated them telling me what was going on. I was taken to a CT scan very quickly and checked over - luckily I was mostly OK except for a chip in my spine. I was shown my scan images by the Dr and the Nurse was very helpful in giving my partner and I a cup of tea while we waited for my mum. I would appreciate if my uttermost thanks could be passed to the doctor and nurse please, they were fantastic. I am now recovering - in pain as expected - but lucky to have had such a friendly and organised team look after me. Thank you again.
