"Very good care at Tameside's M.A.U"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Cardiology

(as the patient),

In September 2007, I was a patient at the Tameside General Hospital's Medical Assessment Unit for as I was having some trouble with chest pains. The standard of care I received was very good in all respects - I was most impressed with the courtesy and friendliness of all staff. I was treated with respect and dignity at all times, and for this, I am very grateful.

Thank you for your kind comments about the Medical Assessment Unit (MAU) at Tameside General Hospital. I will, of course, pass your comments on to the unit. Positive comments like this are a great morale booster, and are always very welcome. As you have not been specific about the members of staff involved I cannot pass on your comments directly to them. You may like to know that you can nominate staff who have given exceptionally good service for our “Show you care for those who care” or “Above and Beyond” awards. Details of both awards, as well as entry forms, are available on the hospital website – and click on “Patient Information”.
