What I liked

In Sept 2012 I had an operation and the entire visit was 'amazing'. I had to return for 2nd op in Nov 2012 and could not believe the experience would be as good again... Of course I'd rather not have needed to come into hospital at all, but second time was 'just as good'.

The staff are so obviously very busy but I had everythng I needed all the time. I only once had to ring the bell for help.

1st time the night was noisy but 2nd time was almost quieter than home.

Every member staff I met did an amazing job.

I wish there was a way to say a real 'thank you',,, to all staff including the pre op assessment nurses as well as all doctors and support staff.

What could be improved

The food was very good... and always presented well..

Just wish sandwiches could have been either brownn or white bread!

First time I was given no instructions on how to look after the incision by ward staff, but second time very well looked after.

Thank you for taking the time to give your experience on the care you received with us.

I am really pleased that you found our services to be amazing as would the staff that were involved in your direct be. I would be delighted to forward these comments to those staff members if you could take the time to email me the ward that you were on whilst in our care.

There has been work going on around making wards quieter at nighttimes so these comments are valuable to us to see how this has impacted for patients.

I shall enquire with our inpatient catering team regarding the possibility of offering either white or brown bread sandwiches.
