"Each time there are expectations only to be dashed..."

About: The Queen Elizabeth Hospital (King's Lynn)

What could be improved

I want to point out the number of unnecessary appointments that have to be attended before any treatment takes place.

At the hospital a cursory eyesight test was carried out followed by a brief examination.

Then a scan.

Now a consultation...

All the time is spent waiting in expectation. Each appointment requires a parking space. There is also a significant expense to patients to attend.

So far there have been 6 appointments (including two with the GP and one with an optometrist) and yet another will be required for the actual treatment. The Optometrist's scan report should have been enough to know treatment was needed.

Anything else?

I wonder if anyone is aware or in control of the way the appointments are made?
