"Treatment for and follow up from Bladder cancer"

About: Royal Bournemouth General Hospital / Urology

(as the patient),

I was told in November 2010 that I had bladder cancer. After having the tumours removed and BCF treatment the cancer still remained. I was told that I could have my bladder removed and a new one made from my intestines.

My bladder, prostrate, lymph glands and for good measure appendix were removed. A new bladder was made and inserted. I was in hospital for ten days and the treatment from start to finish was excellent.

I can't thank the consultants and nurses of ward 15 enough for their wonderful treatment.

Thank you one and all.
