I attended A&E and then Huntsman ward 4 at the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield after fracturing my hand. The service which I received did not meet my expectations - I waited 12 hours in A&E before I was seen, which I think was somewhat unnecessary.
There was no communication between staff and patients regarding why there were such long delays. I felt ill due to the long wait without any food or drink, and no member of staff even speaks to you at all whilst you wait. I was just left in the ward with no explanation from anyone about the delay.
