"Visiting my grandson at the hospital"

About: Leeds General Infirmary / Nephrology

(as the patient),

My grandson took in ill with kidney problems. I live in Chelmsford, Essex. My son and I drove for 4 hours to get to Leeds general infirmary hospital.

When arrived, we found the parking charges extortionate! I explained to the parking attendant and they were not sympathetic. We felt that this is the worst hospital car park in the country. Expensive changes just preys on the vulnerability of patients loved ones.

We are so upset at having to pay £25 or more pounds a day just to park and see our loved one, plus the cost of food again at the hospital extortionate. It feels like they are money spinning out of the grief of patients' loved ones.
