"Professional friendly staff at Tameside"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I was a patient on ward 12 of the Tameside General hospital for the treatment of post-menopausal bleeding. The treatment which I received was good - most of the staff were friendly and yet at the same time professional.

More information about the transport from the hospital would have been helpful, as there was a bit of a mix up when I was wanting to leave with my husband.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us with your comments about your experiences on ward 12 at Tameside General Hospital – I was pleased to read that the treatment you received was good, and that the staff were both friendly and professional. I will pass on both your kind comments about the ward, and your comments about information at the point of discharge to the Matron for the area, so that lessons can be learned from your experience. I am sorry that this aspect of your stay with us was less than satisfactory. You may like to know that you can nominate staff who have given exceptionally good service for our “Show you care for those who care” or “Above and Beyond” awards. Details of both awards, as well as entry forms, are available on the hospital website and click on “Patient Information”.
