What I liked
Pre op nurse was lovely.
What could be improved
I had a really horrible time here. The nurse was rude and more bothered about my bed although I had just had surgery.
My physio that declared me safe for home was walking up an aerobic step and down. This assessment declared me fit to walk up stairs at home. I expressed my concerns but they were dismissed. That night I had a fall on the stairs and ended up in A&E...
The physio was plain rude, demanded that I wear normal clothes. I said I'm putting my pjs on as it's more comfy and all she repeated 'no your not' repeatedly?
I got no discharge advice. The matron blamed this on me because I walked off the ward. Which I did out of anger for to the treatment I received.
The nurse came out to me eventually, called me stupid and irresponsible and threw a green bag at my knee which had been operated on,
My condition and operation was compared to another patients. I was told my condition 'isn't as bad as a knee replacement'.
Anything else?
Complained to pals, which got passed onto matron. Matron denied everything. Was ttold physio manager would get in touch but still waiting 2 weeks later.
The overall experience has really destressed me and scared me from hospitals.
"Never again, transferring my care of my bone..."
