What I liked

wife did not see a consultant but a registrar who was a hand expert. He explained in detail to us what was wrong, what had probably caused the problem, what would happen if left untreated, treatment and likely outcome and recurrence. Nothing was too much trouble for him. She was given the option of having treatment there and then or to think about it and come back. Chose to get it over and done with there and then. Uncomfortable procedure but was reassured throughout and given advice about care and when she should have a follow up appointment.
