"Don't like being messed about."

About: Wrightington Hospital

What I liked

Not a lot.

What could be improved

The car park needs up grading so that there is more disabled spaces near Orthopedic out patients. Some of the reception staff in Out patients haven't got a clue on what they are doing.

Anything else?

I visited Orthopedic out patients and was sent for an X-Ray straight away when I got back I told the bloke behind the desk that I had returned and he said just sit the in waiting area, a few patients whose appointments were after mine went in and came out again while I was still waiting, the bloke had not even told them I was back from X-Ray. I went to see the consultant who said I needed an operation on my knee and a nurse filled in all the Pre-Op paperwork. I finally got an appointment for Pre- Op on 26th Sept 2012 which all went to plan but last week when I telephoned to see when my admission date would be I was told that my consultant was fully booked for the next five weeks (Just at the time when my Pre-Op expires) I should have had a date for admission before my Pre-OP I have to give work 3 weeks notice but it looks like I wont be able to and If I'm lucky I will get a cancellation. To say I'm not happy is an under statement I'm fuming. I will have to take more time of work for another Pre-Op hopefully I wilL get an admission date before this one.
