What I liked
Very quickly assessed by triage nurse and in the paediatrics waiting area where we stayed for 4 hours.
What could be improved
We were waiting 2 hours beforehand to see a doctor even though the waiting room did not appear to be particularly busy. Sample analysis also took a long time, 2 hours, to complete whilst we were waiting on the result to determine medication. At first we didn't know why we were waiting.
Anything else?
Maybe this is just how things are and we have to tolerate waiting due to other circumstances of which were are unaware. However, this in itself is perhaps a problem, more information given to the patient the better - including reasons for waiting - both a) what is being done for the patient and b) whether there is already work in progress for others.
"Very personable experience but took too long..."
