"I was cared for efficiently and pleasantly despite..."

About: Peterborough City Hospital

What I liked

Staff kept me informed about what was being done despite being obviously busy.

What could be improved

On discharge on elbow crutches there was poor signing to the way out and despite several attempts I was unable to move quickly enough between the door switch and door to get through. Fortunately someone came along and helped me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide us with feedback. I am so pleased that you found our staff informative but I am sorry that you experienced problems with signage and door access. As a Trust we are currently reviewing signage and I will ensure your comments are passed onto the relevant staff. I am also going to ask our Disability Advisor to review the doors in the Emergency Department to see if we can adjust the timing so as to allow people with limited mobility time to exit through the doors safely.

Once again thank you for your feedback and I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a speedy recovery.
