"Attended day surgery and was very well cared for"

Last week I attended the New Victoria Day surgery to have an ovarian cyst removed. I was dreading attending hospital after having an extremely frightening experience 2 years ago at the Old Victoria Hospital.

However, I was pleasantly surprised by the first class service that I received whilst I was there. Although my surgery was only meant to be day surgery (and technically I could have been discharged the same day) I stayed in over night.

The staff were all marvellous. They all introduced themselves by name and I really felt as though I was in a safe environment. The surgeon talked me through the procedure before hand and the theatre nurse was very kind.

Overall, the experience was wonderful and reassuring, and to be honest I have been on holidays which were less pleasant. A big thank you to all involved.
