For my hernia operation at the Nottingham City Hospital, I was told to attend hospital at 7am on the day of the operation. No-one relevant saw me until approx. 10am. When I eventually went in for the operation, it was 4pm. Being told to attend at 7am and not being seen until 4pm is disgraceful - i wonder if this seems to be part of a more general "keep them waiting" philosophy.
