"Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle"

I was admitted as an emergency to Aspen Ward at the Cumberland Infirmary 2 weeks ago and stayed in 2 nights, at what was to be a very emotional and traumatic time for me and my husband. All the staff on the ward who looked after me were amazing. They spent time with you, they showed real compassionand patience, nothing was too much bother. They answered the nurse call quickly,even though I know they were busy with other things, I was not left in pain for long and I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

I needed to have surgery on the second day and again the anaesthetic staff and particularly the young anaesthetist and two recovery nurses who were assigned to me were wonderful, they were all so professional but again as on Aspen compassionate at such a sad and difficult time for me. Their care for me was outstanding.
