What I liked

The high degree of care, kindness, patience and professionalism shown by staff at all levels to all patients. This was quite remarkable and applied throughout my five-day stay on all shifts. To say I was impressed would be an understatement.. I was mobile myself, and could get about under my own steam, but help and support for the less able patients around me was constantly available and willingly given. I had never been an in-patient with the NHS before and the whole experience gave me unexpected confidence in the organisation. Top marks to all concerned.

I was admitted to hospital on an emergency basis, which in itself is daunting. However, I was made to feel relaxed and confident from the beginning, and there was always someone to ask if there was anything I needed to know. It was by no means the frightening experience that it could have been, thanks to the kindness and professionalism of the people involved.
