"Kind care for implanon contraception"

About: City Health Care Partnership CIC / Sexual health

(as the patient),

I attended the Beverley Family Planning Clinic for removal and input of a new implanon contraception.

The doctor, Dr McCallum and nurse, Julie Garrett, were very kind and they put me at ease. It was not painful at all. The removal and insertion of the new implanon took about five minutes.

This was 11 days ago and there is still only a little bit of bruising on the underside of my arm but this is not noticeable. Many thanks to all concerned.

Thank you for taking the time to tell Patient Opinion about your experience at Beverley family planning clinic.

We are happy to hear that you, like many others, have found the staff at this clinic to be kind and able to make you feel comfortable.

When having an implant inserted or removed, it is quite normal for bruising to still be present at this stage and will soon go down.

Your comments will be passed on to all staff within the service, especially Dr McCollum and Julie Garrett.
