"Not able to get emergency appointment at my GP"

I never see the doctor but needed an urgent appointment at Eastham Group Practice, as I was in pain.

When I phoned I was told I couldn't have an appointment even though it was urgent. Told to wait several hours to have either a telephone consultation or go to the Walk In Centre, when it opened, again several hours away.

I thought GPs offered an urgent same day service? This one obviously does not. I found the staff disinterested and unhelpful.
