In this world of complaints and compensation claims, I feel I had to write this letter to you to express my sincere thanks and appreciation of the treatment and attention given by all staff I came into contact with, on the day of my operation.

I had to come into Queens Hospital Romford recently for a small operation. My Consultant was Mr N S Shah. He is such a kind and thoughtful man who put me completely at ease at the daunting prospect of an operation. I was made to feel special by all the staff I came in contact with on the day.

I was put on to a recovery ward where I was treated like a VIP by all the staff. I want to thank especially Gwen and Denise whose very capable hands I was placed into. I cannot thank them enough for the care and attention they gave me.

Later I was placed on Amber B ward for 24 hour observation and again the staff I came into contact with were very helpful and pleasant.

No-one likes the prospect of being an in-patient and I can only speak as I find – that my whole experience was one of complete admiration of the care and attention to a patient needs that I received on my brief encounter with your hospital.

I trust you can pass my sentiments onto all concerned
