"Prescription ordering monthly is too long"

About: Adult community services / Nutrition and dietetics

(as the patient),

I am a coeliac and I phone in my order once a month.

Sometimes they phone me back and it is usually within the hour, although the service is very good and the delivery of my food is about a week to 10 days, the problem I have is that because you can only order once a month, I have a freezer full of bread.

I much preferred it when we could order twice a month.

As part of my role, I support clinical services who undertake patient and public involvement on behalf of The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust which helps us to develop or redesign our services with patients in mind, from the valuable feedback we are given.

Dear peteisunited,

Thank you for your posting on the Patients Opinion web site. We appreciate patient feedback and are pleased to learn that your experience of our Nutrition & Dietetics Service is very good.

However, if you find you are struggling with storage of the fresh bread in the freezer- other products are available that are vacuum packed and have a long shelf life. These products are as acceptable as the fresh product and ordering of them can be discussed with the team when you next ring for an order.

With best wishes,

Grace
