I am a carer to my husband who has Alzheimers. when he was first diagnosed I must say I felt abandoned by the medical system. After a phone call to my doctors surgery I was introduced to my nurse from Admiral Nurses. At last I had a friendly, informed person to discuss my problems with. I have been introduced to different organisations to socialise with and people in the same situation. Unfortunately, my husband isn't at a stage where he would like to take advantage of these meetings but it is good to know there are people out there to contact in the future. I don't feel so lonely now. : -)
