"I believe I received person centred care"

About: Leighton Hospital

What I liked

I was treated with respect and dignity. The Healthcare Assistant running the clinic was very friendly and polite to me and to other patients in the clinic environment. The Specialist Registrar I saw explained everything in detail and involved me in decisions about my care and on going treatment.

What could be improved

The fabric of the chairs in the waiting area (Main OPD Suite E).can show every stain though in fairness these were not too bad. I would suggest that these are replaced with wipeable vinyl covering.

Thank you for taking the time to make your comments on NHS Choices. Your comments have been passed on to the Health Care Assistant and have been shared with the Service Manager for Emergency Care who will ensure the Medical Registrar also receives the positive comments you have made. With regard to your observations of the chairs ,we have just received new wipe clean chairs to replace those located in the main out patient hall and we are looking to continue this improvement programme by replacing all fabric covered chairs. Sue Hamman, Nurse Lead.
