In August of last year, I went into the Emergency Admissions Unit of the Nottingham City Hospital with chest pains. After arriving by ambulance, it was over 5 hours before anyone even spoke to me. The nursing staff seemed indifferent to the needs of the patients. The toilets and showers were a disgrace. From what I saw, washing of hands was non-existent; that I saw nurses going from one bed to another without even using hand gel was appalling!
Things can only improve!
