What I liked
After a nasty injury to my thumb with a chopsaw I was reffered by my own local hospital to East Grinstead. I was treated at the Rowntree Hand Unit.
It was a complicated injury which necessitated a 2hr operation. The skill of the surgeons was superhuman and at the same time, very calm and caring. Despite the position I was in, I felt relaxed throughout and 100% secure.
I could have lost my thumb, but I didnt, and that was due to some fantastic teamwork by all staff involved. Would I recomend it ? Wholeheartedly yes, Would I recomend chopping your thumb off ? No. But if you happen to do it, you wont find anywhere better
The whole place was spotless and precautions against infection was paramount.
What could be improved
Nothing, absolutley nothing.
Anything else?
Its been a week since my visit so this has been written after consideration, and not a knee jerk response of gratitude.
