"Emergency should be what it is - Emergency"

About: King's Mill Hospital

What I liked

yea right

Anything else?

My uncle 84 years old was taken in to hospital after I found him in bed with slurred speech, I suspected a stroke. I rang for an ambulance and that came very quickly. I went with him and they got him to the hospital quickly.

Got to A&E and it seem completely stupid to me that the emergency ambulance staff have to wait in line with walk in cases to be logged into the system. basicly had to wait for 10 mins to get logged in. Finally got logged in and was effectively thrown into the A&E ward.

Now on the way to the hospital, the ambulance crew asked numerous questions and made notes on their computer. When we got to the hospital and logged in, the nurses came round and asked the same questions and made notes. the doctor came round and asked the same questions. Doesn't anyone read the notes/information given??

They could see he was dazed and confused but kept asking him more and more questions. I have nothing against foreign doctors, but when they are heavily accented and I struggled to understand them, let alone my uncle. You can understand my mistakes are made. They should also make all medical staff write in block capitals so everybody can read the notes.
